Please pray for my friend and his family. Marcus has a daughter, Grace, and she is amazing. She had surgery yesterday. Here is what Marcus wrote
"This is her most complex and intense surgery to date, with the team of docs performing extensive craniofacial work and jaw reconstruction. We are estimating 14-16 hours of surgery, followed by 3-5 days of heavy sedation, weeks of her jaw wired, and months or even years of physical therapy. She’ll have facial hardware, a skin tissue transfer, and lots of scars.

After this process, Grace will likely talk differently, and her appearance will be significantly altered. But at her core, her soul, she’ll be same amazing, talented, intelligent, beautiful, sassy young woman.

Please pray for:
– peace for Grace! This is most nervous she’s ever been.
– God to guide the medical staff in their actions.
– a successful surgery: upper and lower jaw realigned, widen her airway, the skin flap to mesh perfectly on her neck, increased range of motion and functionality.
– pain management and quick hospital stay, we’re planning 10-14 days.
– that she adjusts quickly to her jaw wired, the possible halo, her altered appearance, and skin flap.
– unwavering faith and appreciation for God’s plan."
