🙏🏾 Sharing the Gospel of Peace
(Part 4)
Foundational Scripture: Romans 12:1–18 (KJV)
Supporting Scriptures: Acts 4:32–37; Romans 5:1–5; Galatians 6:2–5; Philippians 4:6–9; Isaiah 41:10
Word on My Heart: Empathy
Word Within My Heart: Love
Central Revelation: For peace to endure among us we need each other, but we should pray for a way to use Your✝️ Love among us for it to endure.
Father✝️ in Heaven,
As I pray today
in the name of Jesus Christ✝️,
👍🏾our⚖️ Only ✝️ Way,
may You✝️
continue to remind 👍🏾us⚖️
of the peace
You✝️ have given
through 👍🏾our⚖️ Savior
who has risen,
Jesus Christ✝️!
His✝️ Love is expressed through mercy.
Patience.
Compassion.
A willingness
to understand a heart condition
or disposition not asked for,
Like salvation.
Who would choose to be
Born again?!
Who chooses to become
the friend to wounded transgressions
Or chastised peace.
Or dumb sheep before shearers
God✝️ these are doers
not just hearers
And it leads me,
to the word
within my heart.
Love.
Not merely spoken
But exercised Love✝️
that serves self
That’s truly known
Truly accepted
only to give
Raw forgiveness
as encouragement
Of something better
Like,
Living love letters
Written 70 times daily
With knowledge of
dignity and worth
of every person
You✝️ have created.
Or Romans 12:9
lifestyles without
dissimulation of
something genuine!
Yet, as I reflect on the authentic
The only reminder I get is
Let 👍🏾our⚖️ compassion
be sincere!
Because what’s near
Requires faith
demonstrated
through the goodness
we extend
to one another.
as brother to sister
sister to brother
As the only thing among us
known and understood
Father✝️,
as we exercise
Your✝️ peace,
may we remember
that Unity
does not mean
we are all alike.
In Romans 12 You✝️
taught 👍🏾us⚖️
that we are many members
of One ✝️Body,
differently gifted
according to Your✝️ grace.
So I ask that You✝️
help 👍🏾us⚖️ appreciate
what makes us different
without allowing
those differences
to divide 👍🏾us⚖️.
As the teacher
help me teach
with patience.
For the exhorter
help those of us
Continue to encourage
Each other to trust
with compassion
as Your✝️ anchor among us
So such givers among us
give with sincerity,
so us as leaders
lead with diligence and clarity.
As for mercy
let Your✝️ grace within
Lead to hearts of cheerfulness,
So our good works
of Your✝️ ministry
is not simply
about what we accomplish.
Or what we get
Or where we’re led
Or what we learn
Yet may we reflect
on the lives we touch
as we accomplish Your✝️ Will
as that expected end we seek
and at that day as we speak
to share Your✝️ peace,
teach 👍🏾us⚖️
to care responsibly
for the minds
You✝️ have given 👍🏾us⚖️.
To know when we need rest.
To acknowledge without a guess
when we are hurting.
To know when to
seek wise counsel
when substantial
mutual understandings
are needed to receive
appropriate help
without shame
when 👍🏾our⚖️ struggles
become more
than we can manage
through 👍🏾our⚖️ own name
For Lord✝️ Jesus!
👍🏾We⚖️ cannot control
every circumstance.
Nor change every person
On our own so 👍🏾we⚖️ need you
to know how, when, or if
to show, since we know
what we know that’s led me to grow
and helped me understand
where not to go
at a crossroad.
There have been so many,
Crossroads and 👍🏾we⚖️ cannot
carry every burden by ourselves.
But through Your✝️ grace,
we can learn
to respond with wisdom
to establish
healthy Boundaries.
to walk in humility
as that natural ability
In all of us to trust You✝️
while taking
the responsible steps
before 👍🏾us⚖️.
This is my prayer
in Jesus Christ✝️ name
I pray and give thanks
Amen.
