Word on My Heart: Empathy

Word Within My Heart: Love

Central Revelation: For peace to endure among us we need each other, but we should pray for a way to use Your✝️ Love among us for it to endure.

Father✝️ in Heaven,
As I pray today
in the name of Jesus Christ✝️,
👍🏾our⚖️ Only ✝️ Way,
may Your✝️ Holy Spirit
continue to remind 👍🏾us⚖️
of the peace
You✝️ have given
through 👍🏾our⚖️ Savior
who has risen,
Jesus Christ✝️!

Since we are the ones
at times in need of encouragement.
Give us an ear to hear,
an ear to listen
as You✝️ speak
in moments
when we are weak
and needing to be made strong
Needing to know 
👍🏾we⚖️ are not alone.

In these times, Father✝️,
give 👍🏾us⚖️ the humility
to ask for help
and the wisdom
to receive the care
we need.
Even if all we can do is read.

Read Your✝️ Word
Read Galatians 6:2
teaching 👍🏾us⚖️ to
bear one another's burdens.

To that Lord help 👍🏾us⚖️
see properly and give attention
to when we are occupied
with the work of ministry
so that we don’t override 
the needs of people with priority 
Remind us Lord✝️
of the call to serve.
destroy our nerve to be high minded
Or becoming so accustomed
to carrying burdens
that we forget
we too are members of the Body.

Father✝️,
this brings me
to the word
upon my heart.

Empathy.
Teach 👍🏾us⚖️ to see.
See beyond what appears
on the surface
Understanding in us all
that we get nervous
so we process and handle it differently.
Therefore, teach us to listen
before assuming,
to understand before judging,
to recognize your nudging
to act on a smile without peace.
or silent surfaces
that nothing’s wrong
Yet speaking the contrary.

In moments like these
God✝️, teach 👍🏾us⚖️
Romans 12:15
as expressions of grace
to rejoice with those who rejoice,
and weep with those who weep.

Or prayers that we may we learn
Your wisdom when to speak,
to listen,
to encourage,
or simply
to be present.
As something among us
as a pleasant understanding
that not every burden
requires 👍🏾our⚖️ opinion.
yet just maybe need time
to see your dominion
in a situation
or to see every struggle
doesn’t require 👍🏾our⚖️ correction.
maybe just affection
a hug
a Hi
a bye
versus God✝️ why
only to find out His✝️ “oh”
for clarity may just be around the corner.
