A Strong Faith
(Part 5)
Foundational Scripture: 1 Corinthians 2:1–5
Righteousness in View: Ephesians 5:1–21
⸻
Father in Heaven,
As I pray today
in the name of Jesus ✝️
our only way
May you teach 👍🏾us⚖️
how I see fellowship.
In the Spirit
And in the church
Help us understand access
as to what it is
and what it’s not
and where are the boundaries
So Lord✝️ as we continue
to know You✝️ through one another
Help 👍🏾us⚖️ to know
What are our surprises
What do we wonder
What’s in our heart
Towards You✝️
In that dividing Asunder
Where the souls and spirit
is often misunderstood
Father✝️ this day I pray
For the proper understanding
of Your prized possession⚖️,
this life ⚖️ fearfully
and wonderfully made
as Your ✝️Lesson
With the reminder
That entitlement at this point
doesn’t exist
Yet 👍🏾we⚖️ can only hope
For the proper time given
To speak with a verse
with a prayer
Or a song even
Understanding that ministry
Is eternal and accepted
among us
in this household of faith
Where communion
takes place under Christ.
So whenever fellowship,
takes place may you always
occupy the highest seat
as our Mediator with the final say.
Let Your Spirit
Show the way
To share something good to say
and since ultimately
You✝️ knew 👍🏾us⚖️
before we were born
Share Your✝️ thoughts
about 👍🏾us⚖️ with 👍🏾us⚖️
knowing that in such an approach
we can’t go wrong
As I’m reminded of Ephesians,
Help us share
Your✝️ light between us
in a way that’s circumspect
yet wholesome,
and of utmost respect
by teaching 👍🏾us⚖️
to walk as children of light.
rather than children
of appearances
as you guard 👍🏾us⚖️
from the adversary’s interferences
Of offense in thought,
word, or deed
As you Lead Lord
This 👍🏾 child of light
One who intercedes
May give us wisdom
Essential to keep us
away from unhealthy secrets
Or speech that’s inconvenient.
Or a behavior that’s lenient
and dangerous to our walk
So in the end we can enjoy
What’s prayerfully potential
between 👍🏾us⚖️
the opportunity to walk and agree
with one another
as Children of light.
In Jesus Christ✝️ name
I pray and give thanks
Amen.
