My husband is tortured in his mind by thoughts from my past, despite those thoughts being from a time before we even met (over 20 years ago). When the thoughts come, he gets depressed and shuts me out. He won’t even tell me what is bothering him, sometimes for days. He says he prays and reads the Bible, but they won’t go away. I don’t know how to help him. I pray for him, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference.
