✝️ 🕊️ Receiving The Truth 🕊️ ✝️

(Supplemental Prayer for Getting to God✝️)

Father in Heaven,

I pray in Jesus Christ✝️ name as Your Holy Spirit dwells…

As 👍🏾we🕊️ follow the way to You✝️
Help 👍🏾us🕊️ hear You✝️,
as 👍🏾we🕊️ receive the truth.

Truth that comforts,
Yet truth that also corrects.
Not just truth to tell 🕊️ somethin’ good,
we realise Lord that Your✝️ truth
makes us good,
And causes us to admire You✝️ in 👍🏾us🕊️
As 👍🏾we🕊️ are reminded to obey.

Because truth from You✝️
is never empty.
It comes with light.
It comes with order.
It comes with instruction
for Life,
For rightly divided conversations,
meant to care for the mind of one another.
It’s truth that the author John
can agree with about God✝️’s Love

So, Lord ✝️ Jesus,
as we remember
that prayers are to You✝️
from a Book all about You✝️
and in it, you taught us how to pray
let her🕊️ receive Your✝️ truth
without fear.
Without resistance.
Without feeling like surrender to You✝️
is loss.

Let her know
We are they which Live✝️
to receive the truth
is to receive life,
to receive wisdom,
to receive peace
that does not have to pretend.
And through it broken hearts can actually mend
And experience restoration!

And Father, even more,
teach me too
how to receive the truth
before trying to speak it.
How to let it search me
before I offer it.
How to let it humble me
before I try to lead by it.

Because the truth must first live in us
before it can bless through us.

So if this season is about
getting to You✝️,
then let this lesson stand:
That truth is not against 👍🏾us🕊️.
It is for 👍🏾us🕊️.
For our growth.
For our witness.
For our fellowship.
For the preservation
of what You✝️ are doing in both of us.

So as Your Word settles deep.
Let Your Spirit make it plain.
Let truth be received
without mixture,
without panic,
without pride,
But divine conviction that remains

And let what she comes to understand
through this truth
make her steadier in You✝️,
clearer before You✝️,
and more at 🕊️rest🌙 in Your✝️ will,
since receiving the truth
is part of getting to You✝️.
