🕊️Ambience🕊️✝️
(Jeremiah 29:7–11)
Father in Heaven,
I pray in Jesus Christ✝️ name as Your Holy Spirit dwells…
For the gentle opening of eyes 🕊️ to what surrounds 🕊️—
not just streets and buildings,
but people, purpose, and possibility.
As you tell us to seek the peace of the city—
We pray for it,
As we invest in it,
And prayerfully dwell in it with intention—
Through your✝️ peace,
That we as a church will find our own.
So I place the heart of Virginia before 🕊️You✝️
as an invitation
To a city with history in its bones
and hope still breathing in its air.
Help 🕊️ see what could be here—
community before convenience,
roots before rushing,
Blessings before fussing
meaning before motion.
Let this prayer of invitation
Be her notion realized as ambience
To say quiet conversations,
Which steadfastly builds,
And causes the people to rise
That you’ve have already placed here
who carry Your✝️ image
Your✝️ name⛪️
Your calling towards the lost.
Teach 🕊️her to value what ✝️You ⛪️value.
Not I but you Lord
Not perfection,
but presence.
Not completion,
but commitment.
Not spectacle,
but faithfulness.
You said You know
the thoughts You think toward us
A statement scripture that I certainly
Can identify🕊️ with 😏
thoughts of peace and not of evil,
Especially not ungodly
to give a future and a hope.
That’s… something I’ll let you figure out
So let that promise speak softly here—
not as demanding,
Not to cause fear
but inviting.
Because, just as the altar call
We understand a perfect ✝️ truth
And what it does
So, if this city is a place of planting,
give her peace to consider it.
If this is a season of staying,
give her courage to explore it.
If this is a place of becoming,
give her patience to grow within it.
Let her feel welcome without pressure,
seen without expectation,
free to choose without fear
Of God✝️’s perfect Love✝️
Once again!
Warm her heart toward the people here—
Your people—
those who labor quietly,
pray faithfully,
and carry hope steadily.
And if You are drawing her closer,
let it be by Your Spirit✝️ alone—
not urgency,
or persuasion,
but peace.
Teach her that seeking the peace of a city
is also discovering her own.
And trusting that wherever You invite,
You also provide.
So as I the meek gentleman
leave the door open, Lord✝️
I just welcome
In Jesus Christ✝️ name I pray and give thanks. Amen. 🕊️
