đď¸ All Things Common
(A Spoken-Word Prayer Based on Ephesians 4:1â8)
Father in Heaven
I pray in Jesus Christâď¸ name as your Holy đspirit dwells â¨As we remember purpose tonight
May all emotion and deep desire yield.
To unity, humility, gentleness and patience
Give us the kind of walk
where two hearts donât compete for control,
but submit themselves to the One đ Spirit who binds all things together.
Teach us, Lord, to walk worthy under Yourâď¸ authority.
Help us each day to know the truth
between me and đ to the end
that the same grace
that descended when Christ ascended,
the same power that gives gifts,
the same authority
that makes strangers family and family unified in purpose.
Make âall things common,â among đđžusđ
not because we blend into sameness,
but because we bow to the same God,
breathe by the same Spirit,
and find hope in the same Lord.
FatherâŚâ¨let our conduct reflect Your character.â¨Let our intentions echo Your order.â¨Let our steps match the humility Paul wrote of ââ¨that low, steady way of walkingâ¨where pride dies,â¨patience rises,â¨and peace becomes the pace-maker of our progress.
Teach us to love without losing reverence,â¨to care without crossing purity,â¨to grow without drifting from grace,â¨and to see each other not as possession,â¨but as purpose entrusted by the God of all unity.
Lord, let âall things commonâ mean:â¨we both belong to the same hope,â¨submit to the same truth,â¨rest under the same authority,â¨and honor the same Holy One who watches every word we speakâ¨and every motive we lift before Him.
Make any affection among us worship,â¨not wandering.â¨Make our conversations đholy,â¨not hurried.â¨Make our connection patient,â¨not pressured.
Keep us steady
Make us ready â¨For desire to yield to the discipline of Your Word,â¨remind us that one Body cannot moveâ¨unless every part honors the âď¸Head.
FatherâŚâ¨You said there is one Spirit,â¨so let that Spirit guard our unity.â¨You said there is one hope,â¨so let that hope govern our intentions.â¨You said there is one faith,â¨so let that faith stabilize our steps.â¨You said there is one baptism,â¨so let that cleansing wash through any hidden placesâ¨where fear or fantasy would try to whisper their counterfeit plans.
And GodâŚâ¨if You choose to đđžusđâ¨let it be the kind of unity that looks like kingdom ââ¨where honesty breathes,â¨where peace stays close,â¨where patience stands tall,â¨and where both our hearts bow before Youâ¨before they ever reach for one another.
Let this be worship,â¨but let it also be witness.â¨Let it be gentle,â¨but let it also be strong.â¨Let it be patient,â¨but let it also be purposeful.â¨Let it be slow enough to honor You,
Respect đher and glorify Youâď¸.
So LordâŚâ¨we yieldâ¨With hope, with caution,
In observance of đ beautiful questions.â¨We lay them before the One God and Father of all,â¨who is above all,â¨through all,â¨and in us all
That brings the Answersâď¸
Which lead to peace and agreement
So again with all things made common
Make our unity đholy.â¨Make this connection reverent.â¨Make this romance worship.
That is real, important, and
Just for GP, a sentimental priorityâ¨So that our hearts become a place whereâ¨âAll Things Commonââ¨means we are both submittedâ¨to the same Spirit,â¨the same Savior,â¨and the same sovereign plan
That leads to your Love at the end of the day
We now bring to a close (Pro 3:24)
SweeTly for youđ from me
Unto Theeâď¸
In Jesus Christâď¸ nameââ¨the One who gives gifts, guides hearts,â¨and governs every good thing
As we give (âˇď¸= đ =âˇď¸) thanksâ¨Amen.
