🙏🏾 “Expressions of God’s Love”

(1 John 4:7–8 ✝️ | Romans 12 ✝️ | Galatians 5:22–23 ✝️ | Philippians 4:8–9 ✝️)

Father in Heaven,
I pray in Jesus Christ✝️ name,
that as Your 🕊️ Holy Spirit dwells among us,
Teach us tonight what it truly means
to express Your✝️ Love —
not the watered-down version the world rehearses,
but the holy version You authored,
the eternal version You revealed,
the living version we see in Scripture,
that which makes 👍🏾us🕊️living epistles.

You✝️ remind us in 1 John 4:7–8,
To “love one another” since
love is of You✝️
Otherwise we don’t know You✝️
“for God is love.”

So Lord, let this prayer be simply understood
that once mankind understands who You are,
there cannot be a greater expression of love
than when we use Scripture✝️ itself
To express the Love✝️ of Jesus Christ✝️
“one” to another.
to shape how we think,
how we feel,
how we act,
and how we make others feel.

Because man and woman were made
to love each other according to the Scriptures —
not culture, not assumption, not by solely emotion
but according to the God who authored love Himself.
So as I stand in faith thank you
Help us realize that we can’t lose as Christians
“If” we love like the Creator✝️

So, God✝️ I pray this day
as I talk about Your✝️ Love for 👍🏾us🕊️
Show us How We Think
By Renewing 👍🏾us🕊️ in Your✝️Love:

Teach us to “study Your✝️ Love”,
To approve ourselves into You✝️ Father.
To meditate on it,
to learn its language✝️,
So that with every word we will “consider”
Who you are.

So that it interrupts every false definition
we inherited from the world.

For from conception
we enter life learning what love means —
touch by touch,
word by word,
experience by experience —
but only in You
do we learn what love truly is.
Not deep just real “considering” You✝️

Your word is canonized and inerrant
So purify our thoughts as the church of Philippi:
With truth,
Honesty,
Just behavior translating to
what is pure,
what is lovely,
what is praiseworthy —
let these be the thoughts
that shape how we study
how we comprehend
how we Love✝️

God✝️, may you cast out fear from
How We Feel
Sow, Peace shapes Our Proper Attitude:

Align our emotions with Your character
So all I do is care and her needs can be met
Prayerfully and hopefully later, but not yet
For your appointed times and milestones are necessary for your Will to be done
The understanding of your Son
may continue permeate the hearts of this world

Let peace be the attitude behind every action.
For if You✝️ are Love,
and Your presence is peace,
then love that lacks peace
did not come from You.

Let our hearts be steady, settled, and whole —
so the way we feel reflects
the God who has never changed.

How We Act:

So, our actions follow the pattern of Romans 12
May our personalities reflect your Love gifted to 👍🏾us🕊️
• Love✝️ without hypocrisy
• Abhoring what is evil
• Cleaving to what’s good
• Kind affection towards one another
• Diligent service as your blessing, as we Rejoice among one another, and if necessary wiping away the tears of those weep
This is peace one to another
From Brother to sister to Mother to father
Family to family
church to church

May our love be ethical,
intentional,
disciplined,
and sacrificial —
the kind of love that looks like Jesus✝️.

So Others🕊️ may Feel — God✝️’s Love:

Lord, when others encounter us,
let the Fruit of the Spirit
become their 🕊️ experience

That is,

Love with roots like the best sweet 🕊️ potatoes
Joy through songs of thanksgiving song
Peace like the rest after the Holiday feast
Longsuffering like the patience needed for the cook
Gentleness as in the care and kindness it takes to be in this 🕊️ “situation”
Goodness from character of Jesus Christ✝️ lived through us
Faith that provides stability, staying power for a difficult road ahead
Meekness and Temperance with understanding that the situations we find ourselves in require discipline

May it leave us all 🕊️ better,
stronger,
uplifted,
and more aware
that God is alive through His people.

Because Love as we desire to know it
Begins With You:

Father, remind us tonight
that every expression of love we give,
every act of kindness we share,
every gentle word we speak,
is only possible because
You✝️ loved us first.
In this Lord as the male seed
Make me this example prayed for so that I may be easy to follow.

Because if we love at all,
it is because we learned it from You✝️.

So let our lives —
every thought, every feeling, every action —
be the living proof
that God’s Love is still the greatest force in the earth.

Tonight and every day,
teach us to express it
as You✝️ intended.

I pray and give thanks.
