Heavenly Father,
We pray for wisdom to navigate these difficult times, as 2 Timothy 3:2 warns that people will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, and disobedient to others around him
We ask that You would make John sober-minded, help him to endure suffering, and to remain steadfast in Your truth. May John through Your grace, reject the allure of worldly passions and the appearance of godliness that denies Your power.
Father, we thank You for the gift of Your living and active Word. Like a two-edged sword, it penetrates to the depths of our being, dividing soul from spirit, joints from marrow, and discerning the true thoughts and intentions of our hearts.
Use Your Word to cut through the deception and sin that surrounds John Help him to be equipped by it, thoroughly prepared for every good work. May Your Word expose the folly of myths and lies, and lead john to a saving knowledge of the truth.
