Please join me in prayer over a heartbreaking and deeply troubling situation. For over three and a half years, critical eating disorder treatment has been withheld from a vulnerable young person—despite clear and consistent recommendations from medical professionals, hospital specialists, eating disorder experts, and insurance care managers. Instead of receiving the urgent care needed, a sudden and uncoordinated shift to a transgender identity was treated as a solution to severe weight loss—an approach that only led to devastating self-harm and continued and likely irreversible health decline.

This situation has also caused significant emotional and physical distress for those advocating for appropriate care. Rather than following established medical guidance and coordinated care plans, radical and unproven alternatives were prioritized while access to real treatment was blocked. Despite repeated warnings from healthcare professionals, both legal and school systems have ignored expert advice and failed to uphold protections under the ADA and Section 504—placing lives at risk with no accountability.

Please pray that truth, justice, and compassion will break through. Eating disorders are among the most life-threatening mental health conditions, and delays in care can have irreversible consequences. Pray that past mistakes are not concealed, but that healing, accountability, and a clear path forward come swiftly. Most of all, pray that God, in His mercy, makes a way where there seems to be none and brings peace and restoration to all those affected.
