I had back surgery in my 20s. After being self-employed sometime it was time to go back to a W2 job. I took a front desk position at a local hotel on 2nd shift. The GM assured me I’d have plenty of time to sit. I did not and now have more damage that leaves me in pain. Some days I can’t sit because I now have sciatica and it’s never good to stand. I had to go to 3rd shift because of it. I applied for Workers Comp to help me get treatment as I am paying everything out of pocket. I need a solution that is more long term because this has changed my life. I can’t be as active which my furry toddlers hate. I was forced to apply for SSI and found out today that I was not turned down as is usually the case with the first try. Theydo need more information, however. If you have time, please pray that I say what I need to say so the SSI will be approved. I never thought I’d have to apply for SSI and have worked all my life.
