HAPPY NEW YEAR
I am seeking help with dealing with my 93-year-old mother, she has been declining in her health for years so much so that before this past Christmas, the gift she could have given me, she had not left her apartment for about 3.5 years. Due to her unstableness walking independently and the fact that she has had several falls, she also has several illnesses. I understand why she feels that way, but I am concerned about that especially since she stopped attending church which I know how much she used to look forward to attending. She will not even sit on her balcony, she will not allow anyone to bathe her or even bathe herself, she has a shower bench and still will not allow her aide to help her bathe.
I am asking for any ideas and or tools I can use to get her to do what’s needed for her health and care, I am so concerned about her and I’m at my wits end trying to figure out what to do for her. Please someone send me the information I need to take better care of my mother? I would appreciate any information that will be helpful to us.
