Lord,
My brother who left you during college is preparing for a marriage with a sweet girl from a Hindu family. As they plan their wedding, there are so many triggers of trauma of church, Christianity, and family hurts that arise from him. Please call him back to you. Open up his heart and heal him. Let him know that what people, what we human beings as a family may have done to hurt him is not a reflection of you. Let my parents not act in emotion as they hear about their plans with Hindi priest and rituals incorporated in their ceremony, but give them your eyes, hearts, and mouths to show my brother, their son, with your amazing love. Your love is greater than ours, your heart is far more compassionate than ours. Hold my heart as it breaks from listening to his heartbreak and become angry and so anxious and scared. Please be glorified through all of this… You are the God who works in ways that we do not know and cannot fathom. I lay this down all at your feet, Lord.
