Please pray that God gives me clarity in my situation. My husband is emotionally and verbally abusive. I wish I had left him long ago as my kids grew up watching him demean me but worst of all, he was very controlling and emotionally abusive to them as well. They are now adults and they want me to leave him. I just don’t know how to make that happen. I’ve been with him since I was 20 years old and I don’t know any other way to live but with him and the environment he created. I want to be free of this!! Please pray for me.

Please pray for my son. He is 27 and in a relationship with a lovely girl. My son grew up with a dad who was very controlling. He grew up watching his father disregard my feelings, boss me around, make demeaning remarks, etc. I am worried that my son will mimic this behavior in his relationship. Although he is a kind person and good to her, I see signs of him disregarding her feelings just like how his dad treated me. Mind you, my husband’s father was the same way. Please pray! I don’t want this vicious cycle to continue.

My husband has a fractured relationship with both of our adult children. Our children are good people and I am proud of the who they have become. My husband, I believe has a mental disorder that was never diagnosed or treated. Although he loves his children, he ruled with an iron fist most of their lives. He never hit them but the words he used most of their lives and the silent treatment was just as damaging. He has a bad temper and no one can talk to him about the damage this has done. My son tried to speak to him about this many times and my husband explodes into a temper tantrum. He’s driving his kids further and further away. Please pray for resolution.

Please pray for my daughter. She is a College sophomore living with some girls off campus. She doesn’t have much of a friend circle and is very shy. The girls she lives with are a bit worldly which is not who she is but they get a long for the most part. She likes these girls and I hope she can be a good example to them but I want her to broaden her circle and meet people who share the same values as her and who she can connect with and feel comfortable being around. Thank you so much for praying for her!
