Dear Lord, today, we surrender our marriage to You. We are both emotionally and mentally drained and our marriage has started to feel burdensome. But Lord, we know that You are the Lord over our marriage. In You, all things are possible. Therefore, hear our prayer, Lord. Strengthen us that we can cultivate a sanctuary within our home, where we both feel seen, heard, and valued. Grant us the empathy to listen but genuinely understand and recognize each other’s needs even when words fail. Renew in us the strength to fight for our marriage and one another. Help us to create an environment within this relationship where we are mutually encouraging to each other in our spiritual walks. Remind us to worship and sing to you together – in church, but also just the two of us. Remind us to pray for each other and to pray together. Remind us to discuss your word together and spur each other into deeper intimacy with you. Reveal any false intimacy in our relationship and replace it a genuine trusting and loving relationship. May we be enriched through this process and grow deeper in intimate understanding of each other. We pray that our love would be good-willed and always humble before each other.
