Most Gracious Heavenly Father,
I lift up Joe before Thee with a heart full of sorrow and hope. I pray Thee, forgive him his sins and the pain he may have caused. “Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness” (Psalm 51:1).
Lord Jesus, I beseech Thee, bring healing to his wife, grant her comfort and peace. “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds” (Psalm 147:3).
Strengthen Joe to overcome the stronghold of alcoholism. “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Philippians 4:13).
Bless the work of his hands, Lord, and let him retain his job, as it is written, “Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established” (Proverbs 16:3).
Let Joe call upon Thy holy name and be saved, for “The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth” (Psalm 145:18).
