A Prayer for David’s Strength and Peace at Work

O Lord, our refuge and strength,

We lift up David, Your servant, who labors faithfully amid confusion and strain. You see the burden he bears—the expectations unmet, the tasks undone, the weight of responsibility pressing on his shoulders. You know the frustration when those hired to help lack the training or wisdom to do the work well.

Let Your Word be his anchor:

> “Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.”
> — Proverbs 16:3

May David commit each task, each moment of tension, into Your hands. Establish his thoughts with clarity, his speech with grace, and his actions with calm authority.

> “The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.”
> — Psalm 29:11

Bless him, Lord, with strength—not just of body, but of spirit. Let peace reign in his heart even when the workplace feels chaotic. May the union’s support be timely and effective, and may those who lack experience be teachable, humble, and open to correction.

Encourage David not to grow weary. Remind him that his integrity is seen by You, and that his labor is not in vain. Surround him with favor, with wise counsel, and with coworkers who rise to the occasion.

And Lord, bless Angela as she intercedes for her husband. Let her words be balm, her prayers be power, and her presence be a quiet strength in his storm.
