🌿 Prayer for Creation, Justice, and Renewal
To be lifted through Jesus Christ to the Lord our God, with the intercession of St. Joseph the Worker, St. Francis of Assisi, and St. Kateri Tekakwitha

O Lord our God,
You who formed the heavens and stretched forth the Earth,
You who placed the sun in its course and called light good—
We come before You as stewards trembling and hopeful,
Entrusting our works, our worries, our world to Your mercy.

We thank You for the brilliance of clean energy
But plead for discernment where innovation shadows Your creation.
Teach us, Lord, not only to build but to restore,
To honor the soil beneath our feet and the skies above our heads.
Let our pursuit of power not poison Your handiwork.

> "The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof…" — Isaiah 24:5
> "A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children…" — Proverbs 13:22

We pray for the laborer—too often underpaid, unseen, and undervalued.
Strengthen their hands, lift their voices, and let their wages reflect justice.
Through the intercession of St. Joseph the Worker,
May they find dignity, protection, and holy purpose in every task.

We mourn the piles of unrecycled panels and buried waste,
The silent cost hidden from sight but etched into our children’s futures.
Let our good intentions not become tomorrow’s regrets.
Through St. Kateri Tekakwitha, lily of the Mohawks and guardian of the land,
May we live simply and honor Earth as sacred.

> "And I brought you into a plentiful country… but ye defiled my land…" — Jeremiah 2:7
> "For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth…" — Romans 8:22

Guide lawmakers and innovators to count the cost rightly.
May they be stirred not by profit but by protection.
May the recycling be righteous, and the replacement thoughtful.
May no child inherit waste where we could have left wisdom.

We lift this prayer with St. Francis of Assisi, who saw You in the sun and moon,
In beast and breeze, in sparrow and stream.
Let the energy we harness be holy, the paths we pave be clean,
And the future we build echo Your covenant of care.

Lord Jesus, our Redeemer and King,
Take this prayer to the Father.
You who calmed storms and brought healing to creation,
Bring healing again—to our land, our labor, and our longing.

In Your holy name we pray,
Amen.
