A Prayer for Mercy, Healing, and Divine Presence Over Texas
Heavenly Father,
In the wake of flooding, our hearts are heavy. Yet we cling to Thy promises, for it is written:
> “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee.” —Isaiah 43:2
Lord, we do not see this as cleansing, but as a moment to awaken compassion and lift up the afflicted. We remember Thy covenant:
> “Neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood… neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.” —Genesis 9:11
With Jesus Christ as our High Priest and intercessor, we come humbly.
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend the weary in battle.
Saint Jude, helper in desperate times, stand by those trapped in sorrow.
Saint Benedict, shield homes and hearts from destruction.
Saint Rita, patron of the impossible, bring comfort where hope feels lost.
Father, let Thy mercy rain down not in wrath, but in healing.
> “The floods have lifted up, O Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice… The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters.” —Psalm 93:3–4
Bless Texas. Comfort the mourning. Strengthen the first responders.
Unite our nation in love, not accusation. In grace, not judgment.
Let this storm draw us closer to Thee, not farther from one another.
We seal this prayer in Jesus’ holy name,
With the saints and the Spirit as our witnesses.
Amen.
