Prayer for Your Mother’s Strength, Healing, and Comfort

O Lord God Almighty,

We lift up Angela’s mother before Thee, asking for strength in her body, courage in her heart, and wisdom in her spirit. In her time of sorrow and physical trial, may she feel Thy everlasting arms beneath her.

> “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God:
> I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
> — Isaiah 41:10

We ask the intercession of Saint Monica, who bore long suffering with grace and prayed fervently for her family. May she carry our petitions for healing and peace to the throne of grace.

> “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
> — James 5:16

We call upon Saint Raphael the Archangel, the healer and guide, to watch over her health and restore her heart, body, and mind.

> “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.”
> — Psalm 147:3

And we remember Saint Joseph, patron of a peaceful death and comforter of the sorrowing. May he walk beside your mother as she mourns her parents, and may he intercede for your family as you lay your grandfather to rest today.

Lord, let Thy peace, which passeth all understanding, guard her heart and mind through Christ Jesus. May she rise each day with renewed hope, knowing that Thou art near.
