Father✝️ in Heaven,

As I pray today
in the name of Jesus Christ✝️
👍🏾our⚖️ Only ✝️ Way
may You✝️ continue
to teach 👍🏾us⚖️
what Ephesians says,
about walk in love…
Since You told 👍🏾us⚖️ good gifts
Come from above 👍🏾us⚖️
Help us understand
🎶How Jesus Christ also loved us🎶.

So circumspect walks
answer questions
to Crowder songs,
Hillsongs,
Systematic plans
of development designed
to teach 👍🏾us⚖️
what’s right, what’s wrong
Helping 👍🏾us⚖️ when weak
to 👍🏾be strong and excellent
⚖️ virtuous and elegant
as 👍🏾we⚖️ walk
in what You✝️ taught
against the sin fought
In 👍🏾our⚖️ own life,
as we study this Psalm
Should 👍🏾we⚖️ just
be entertained?
Should 👍🏾we⚖️ be edified?
Are You✝️ glorified?

God, I got questions
Only you can answer,
Because David’s Psalms
weren’t enough,
I’m not Hebrew,
and our flesh dwelling
among us is tricky!

Questions like,

In this day of You✝️
being physically gone yet
sitting on Throne✝️
with a completed assignment
Where does music fit?
How do we express Your✝️ majesty?
In Your✝️ Word,
how should we describe Your✝️ passion?
If we just can’t sin, how should we
speak through these and Your✝️ Psalms
to perform Your✝️ perfect work?

In patience I wait for these questions.

These Lord✝️ are Psalms,
hymns, and spiritual songs
performing their perfect work unto salvation.
A demonstration of preaching the gospel,
A living word full of ✝️ Truth necessary
to keep leaves from withering,
meant actually for 👍🏾us⚖️ to prosper.
So, what do we do with this 🙏🏾 prayer?
Because, again
I’m not David,
nor am I Hebrew,
yet the tension from this attention
makes me wonder if we knew
for ourselves
what’s actually ✝️ in my 👍🏾heart.

God✝️ as I walked
towards the evening of this day
with these real questions
faced by me👍🏾
I’m reminded in my 👍🏾 movement
of the meaning of unconditional love
that was never called
to stand still.

Even more real
is my need for obedience
Knowing that the worse thing
to do at this point is stop,
despite my need for guidance
and direction amongst the unfamiliar.

Lord✝️ music for this reason
Is only meant
to keep my mind stayed on You✝️
and distract me from critics who
hide behind the unknown.
So if she ⚖️ feels the same way,
maybe not right now
but in another day,
help 👍🏾us⚖️ to know what songs to play
in times when our average
leaves us with nothing to say
or a timely display of prayer
whenever we pray,
under this simple question.
“What’s her ⚖️ favorite song?”
This Lord,
I ask in Jesus Christ✝️ name
and give thanks
as you Breathe on this prayer
unto restoration.
That place where
Your will is.
