My husband been difficult and I need God to intervene
Lord God,
You are powerful, holy, and mighty. Your Word says that Your Word is alive and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12), able to reach the deepest places of the heart. Lord, I ask You to move in my marriage and in my husband’s heart.John
God, You saw the love, care, and effort I gave when he was in the hospital. You saw me trying, showing up, loving, and standing by him. Your Word says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted” (Psalm 34:18), and Lord, my heart has been deeply hurt by the coldness, distance, and unloving ways shown to me.
Father, Your Word teaches husbands to love their wives and not be harsh with them (Colossians 3:19), and to love their wives as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25). Lord, mistreatment is not Your desire. You are a God of love, respect, kindness, and compassion.
God, I place this pain in Your hands. Your Word says, “Do not take revenge… but leave room for God’s wrath” (Romans 12:19). So instead of taking matters into my own hands, I ask You to deal with what needs to be dealt with in Your way and in Your wisdom. Get his attention, Lord. Correct what needs correcting. Convict his heart where there has been coldness, pride, selfishness, or lack of compassion.
Teach him lessons about love, respect, gentleness, and appreciation. Open his eyes to how his actions have affected me. Let him recognize where he has hurt me, and may true change come from the inside out. Let him know it was You reaching him, guiding him, and calling him to love better.
And Lord, while You work on him, heal my wounded heart too. Give me wisdom, peace, and strength. Help me not grow bitter but stay close to You. Restore what is broken if it is Your will, and let Your justice, truth, and love lead this situation.
Let Your will be done, Lord, not mine. In Jesus’ name, amen.
