The Responsibility of Vision
Part 1
(Founded upon Psalm 8 & Psalm 75:6)
Father in Heaven…
I pray in Jesus Christ✝️ name as your Holy Spirit dwells…
Amongst the quiet of night
a still small voice
amongst the choice
of excellence over prosperity
Charity over self fulfillment
Unto emptiness.
I pray for hope🕊️
and tomorrow’s thinking
With the kind of night where
A person’s thoughts
linger enough to
unscatter forming patterns
from words lost and found
between applications,
résumés,
interviews,
late-night reflection,
military memories,
organizational burdens,
leadership lessons,
“Solutions”,
amidst Grace,
and thoughts concerning 🕊️…
God✝️ this is a lot that Im realizing
From fantasizing about futures demand.
It leaves the notion that
I may not have been
as lost as I thought.
Just unfinished.
as I wait on your renewal of strength
Your Psalm 8 reflection asks:
“What is man, that Thou art mindful of him?”
And honestly Father…
that question feels personal tonight.
Because when I look back now…
through operations…
readiness…
leadership…
training…
facilities…
ministry…
structure…
pressure…
stewardship…
In this world,
I can see traces of Your✝️ attention.
Of what you
Mention in the daily
Quietly teaching me
through environments
I thought were temporary.
Quietly shaping understanding
through responsibilities
I thought were ordinary.
Quietly building perspective
through seasons that once felt random.
Father…
thats a realization that carries weight.
Because if there truly is vision forming here…
then there is responsibility attached to it too.
Along with unconditional love that case out
Fear of responsibility in how I think.
Yet instills responsibility in how I move.
Responsibility in the purpose
you continue to prove
Your faithfulness over
The Responsibility in how I speak toward 🕊️.
Because I don’t
want purpose to outrun
character.
I don’t want vision to lack care for her
Nor ego to rule as
A face saver and spiritual language.
I don’t want to become
so consumed with “building something”
that I forget how-to
become someone worth 🕊️building with.
To this Teach 👍🏾us🕊️
that balance Lord between:
vision and humility…
faith and patience…
burden and peace…
preparation and gentleness.
Because tonight…
I’m realizing this job search is no longer just about employment.
It’s about alignment!
(To be continued)
In Jesus Christ name of prayer and do give thanks.
Amen🕊️😴💤🌙
