✝️ Being the Constant ✝️

A Spoken-Word Prayer
(1 Corinthians 15:58 • Ephesians 5)

Father in Heaven,

I pray in Jesus Christ✝️ name as Your Holy Spirit dwells…

Tonight I come before You
to express myself while
understanding something clearly:
if this world keeps changing,
then 👍🏾we🕊️ must change
with it for the better.
Yet not for the bitter.
As the weather
constantly changes
We must understand
That better is
not always colder.
And Lord✝️,
since we know You’re✝️
Not mocked
may our hearts be harder
because of what surrounds 👍🏾us🕊️.

This means to us
Trust
It means to us
Wiser.
It means Stronger together
And the obvious conclusion
of such, more like You✝️,
leading to a common phrase
“The more I like you”
Because Father,
this environment can feel covertly chaotic.

Confusion moving quietly
Through smiles that frown
As Ungodliness is normalized.
Pressure hidden beneath appearances.
That silently demoralize
People consumed by anger, pride, fear,
and distorted thinking.

But Lord✝️,
I understand now more than ever
that 👍🏾we🕊️ cannot let the evil of others
reshape how 👍🏾we🕊️ think.
We cannot let darkness
teach 👍🏾us🕊️ how to walk
Since after all,
You made the steps for 👍🏾us🕊️.
So, we cannot become consumed
by the things
that consumed others.
Even more God✝️,
As I think about it,
we can’t become consumed
by the things
that consumed others!
We got it made!
Like Holy men of old
Called by Your✝️ name
Telling of the similar
Or same in Ephesians 5,
About how-to walk as children of light.

Teaching 👍🏾us🕊️ how-tic
Reasoning against ungodliness
through Your Word✝️.
Against ego.
Against revenge,
emotional reaction,
and ultimately just GIGO
Because if 👍🏾we🕊️ lose Your✝️ perspective,
then the adversary wins twice—

once in the world around 👍🏾us🕊️,
and once inside of 👍🏾us🕊️.

So Father,
help me remain a good example.

That’s not performative,
Or self-righteous.
But steady.

The kind of steady
that keeps showing up right.
The kind that keeps speaking life.
The kind that keeps choosing wisdom
even when foolishness grows louder.
