✝️ A Promise of Comfort ✝️
Part 1
(Psalm 116:12–19 • 2 Peter 1:11–13 • Acts 2:42–47)
Father in Heaven,
I pray in Jesus Christ✝️ name as Your Holy Spirit dwells…
Lord, tonight I come before You
with reflection still fresh,
with memory still warm,
and with a promise forming
in my heart.
Because today…
As my 👍🏾 family took the cup of salvation
and called upon Your name—
we celebrated despite sorrow.
As recognition of
what was purposeful.
Show of mercy
that only comes from You✝️.
The reminder was realized
Of how precious in Your✝️ sight
is the death of Your✝️ saints.
God this was meaningful because
For my grandmother, I was personally
There with her during the pandemic
enjoying my church’s service with her
To which at the end of it
She prayed for salvation
As a present day assurance
For 👍🏾 me that eased any frustration
In 👍🏾 me,
And she now is home with You✝️
So what we feel here on earth, Father—
this weight, this pause, this ache—
is not confusion to You
nor me or she 🕊️.
This value received
Is now something I desire
To assure in care of those
Close to 🕊️she
Close to ⛪️ we
until well done respectively
is achieved.
So while we stand here remembering,
she stands before You rejoicing.
And i can truly say
I nor God are deceived
Nor mocked
Because I was born
From good stock
And even now,
as heaven celebrates her presence,
the adversary is reminded
that death does not win here.
Because through Jesus Christ✝️—
there is no sting.
So let truth settle us tonight.
And may my light be a
reassurance of the same
Despite her last 🕊️ name
And they which live among us
Who understand
Like me that this is not a loss.
These are precious lives
of whom I understand
matter to You✝️.
as they live seeking
their ultimate reward.
Well done.
To include your 👍🏾 son.
So, Lord as they do and
As I continue I move forward
with this prayer promise of comfort
May the words of my mouth
The meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in your sight
As I continue to walk in the light
As I shines among 🕊️
And shines among our ⛪️ family
So tonight as you continue
to stand as our God of all comfort
May our rest lead to sweet sleep
As we arise to serve you
Once again tomorrow.
Despite my family or others
Dealing with sorrow.
Understanding that
no matter what
In You✝️
We have the victory.
In Jesus Christ name I pray and give thanks
Amen. “😴💤🌙”
