✝️ Desires Without Words ✝️
A Spoken-Word Prayer
(Ephesians 5 • James 1:19)
Father in Heaven,
I pray in Jesus Christ✝️ name as Your Holy Spirit dwells…
Lord, tonight I come before You
not just with feelings—
but with focus.
Because desire, when left alone,
can drift…
but when aligned with You✝️,
it becomes direction.
So teach me to be goal-oriented
in how I think,
in how I feel,
and in how I move.
Even when nothing is said.
Because sometimes, Lord,
the strongest desires
don’t need words—
they need discipline.
And as I bring 🕊️ before You,
let my posture remain clear:
not driven by impulse,
not led by emotion alone,
but governed by Your Word✝️
with purpose in view.
Because Your Word says
to be swift to hear,
slow to speak,
slow to wrath.
So let that not just guide my reactions—
let it define my approach.
Let me be quick to listen—
for understanding.
For clarity.
For what is needed to reach
the right outcome.
Let me be slow to speak—
so that when I do,
it is intentional,
it is measured,
it is aligned.
Let me be slow to react—
so nothing I do
moves me away
from what You are trying to build.
Because Father,
if there is any possibility
of fellowship,
any forward movement
between 👍🏾us🕊️—
then let it be goal-driven.
Not casual.
Not careless.
Not undefined.
But rooted in purpose.
So according to Ephesians 5,
teach me to walk as wise—
redeeming the time,
understanding Your will,
not wasting moments,
but using them
to build something right.
Because every step matters.
Every response matters.
Every decision matters.
So even when nothing is said—
let progress still be made.
Progress in understanding.
Progress in alignment.
Progress in patience.
Progress in how I carry myself
before You✝️.
Because silence
is not inactivity.
It is preparation.
It is where thoughts are shaped,
intentions are tested,
and direction is confirmed.
So let my desires
become structured.
Let my thoughts
become ordered.
Let my emotions
become submitted.
So that everything within me
moves toward what is right—
not just what is felt.
And Lord,
if I am to be a man of purpose,
then let my conduct reflect it.
Let my restraint show it.
Let my patience prove it.
Let my consistency confirm it.
Because what is built well
does not rush—
it reaches.
Reaches the goal.
Reaches the standard.
Reaches what You intended
before I ever felt it.
So tonight, Father,
align my desires
with Your direction.
So that even without words,
there is movement.
Even without speaking,
there is progress.
Even without expression,
there is purpose.
And whatever is built from here
is not accidental—
but intentional,
goal-oriented,
and guided by You✝️.
In Jesus Christ✝️ name I pray and give thanks. Amen. 🕊️
