✝️ Studying Our Fellowship Together (S.O.F.T.) ✝️
(Psalm 119:33–40 • Acts 2 • 2 Timothy 2:15)
Father in Heaven,
I pray in Jesus Christ✝️ name as Your Holy Spirit dwells…
I bring this prayer over Ephesians 5 before You plainly tonight,
because I want 🕊️ to understand my intent,
my approach,
and the kind of fellowship I mean
when I speak from this place.
With this passage in mind
Teach 👍🏾us🕊️, O Lord,
the way of Your✝️ statutes,
so 👍🏾we🕊️ may keep it unto the end.
Give us understanding,
and we shall keep Your law.
Yea, we shall observe it
with 👍🏾our🕊️ whole heart.
So this is where I begin, Father—
not with feeling first,
but with Your Word.
You dear children desire not
assumption but an understanding of
How to function through this study.
Of Ephesians 5
May you use this study to
take the pressure away,
Through your Way✝️
To maximize our patience,
As we develop ✝️here📖
an ear to hear and understand.
Because “if” we are to study fellowship together,
We should understand with an agreement
That it be S.O.F.T.
A Study of Our Fellowship “Together”
A personal project
A scriptural “puzzle” put together by your Holy Spirit dwelling among us!
Not soft like weak.
Not soft like careless.
And certainly not unstable,
but able to Glorify You✝️
Through the only one
Who sits on the Throne✝️
Our Lord, Jesus Christ✝️
So Lord make this situation soft
As we remain teachable.
yielded hearts that can still hear You✝️
and readily obey you!
Soft like good ground
that receives seed and brings forth fruit.
Soft like “these” same seeds that grow with eases
As they develop deep roots.
That is something created
that’s not easily swayed
Easily played
or made to feel as if you are not with 👍🏾us🕊️,
Yet in you we trust that what you make
Soft carries with it wisdom that knows
strength does not always have to shout.
Nor carry tones that bruise.
Or cause us to lose Your✝️ power.
So let my fellowship be soft in that way, Lord.
Scriptural in tone.
Gentle in approach.
Clear in purpose.
Warm without wandering.
Caring without crossing.
Loving without costing something
Studied or becoming stiff.
Help us Lord eternally forsake
Death!
Let🕊️ see that what she should expect from me
is someone working diligently
to be approved unto You✝️,
rightly dividing the Word✝️ of truth,
not playing with sacred things,
Yet a type of Boaz who respects Ruth
Yet sees Deborah in 🕊️Esther
Now Lord that’s a Strongs understanding
That excludes any improvising outside of order,
Yet shows the need of our learning on
how to handle both Scripture
and people with care.
Yeah!
Because Your Church in Acts
continued steadfastly in doctrine,
and fellowship,
and breaking of bread,
and in prayers.
So let that be my profile too.
A walking church in a heart that cares,
Sincerely!
A 👍🏾man who studies.
A 👍🏾man who values doctrine.
A 👍🏾man who understands
that fellowship is not random time spent,
but holy and opportune times handled rightly.
A 🕊️woman who knows
that to study Your Word
and to study one another
must both be done in reverence.
Teach us how to read rightly, Lord.
To read Your Word for truth.
To read each other with patience.
To read circumstances with discernment.
To read fellowship as stewardship.
And if this prayer becomes a song for her heart this week,
let it be a quiet one—
steady, scriptural,
the kind that lingers not because it is loud,
but because it is true.
Incline our hearts unto You✝️
and Your✝️ testimonies.
Turn away our eyes from vanity.
Quicken us in Your way.
Establish Your Word unto Your servants.
And let S.O.F.T. mean this among us:
that fellowship can be strong
and still be gentle,
clear
and still be kind,
holy
and still be warm.
That is what I mean, Father.
That is what I’m asking You to teach.
Yes! This prayer is what I want 👍🏾us🕊️
to understand.
In Jesus Christ✝️ name I pray and give thanks. Amen. 🕊️
