Heavenly Father, we lift up James, asking that he seek Your kingdom first and be filled with the Holy Spirit as he grows in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ Matthew 6:33, 2 Peter 3:18. Lord, we pray he puts off the old self and is renewed in his mind, ridding his heart of all bitterness, anger, and pride, selfishness, faultfinding, grumbling and complaining but to instead put on the mind of Christ Ephesians 4:22-31, Philippians 2:5. Grant him divine wisdom for every decision and help him on his job to overcome oppression and to be the salt and light in his workplace. May you grant him favor both with you and with man. May even his enemies be at peace with him. Help him to be a grateful and faithful steward of all You provide James 1:5, Deuteronomy 8:18 We ask for supernatural strength in his health, that he would honor You with his body and find discipline through Christ who strengthens him 1 Corinthians 6:19, Philippians 4:13. May he lead his family and home with love, honoring his wife as Christ loves the church and living with her in peace and understanding Ephesians 5:25, 1 Peter 3:7. Pour the oil of gladness in his heart and peace in his mind. In Jesus name, Amen.
