Father, in Jesus’ name, I ask that You empty my husband John of anything that is not from You—anything he tries to fill himself with instead of Your presence. Draw him closer to You, Lord. Change him for the good and in ways that will benefit him in the long run.
Tear down the walls of pride, selfishness, jealousy, and strife. Break them down until nothing remains but Your truth and Your love. Let Your Holy Spirit rebuild him into the man of God he is meant to be.
Shape him to be a husband who treats others with love, respect, and compassion, and who finds joy in the company of his wife and the family that matters most.
God, please do what I cannot do. Work behind the scenes where I cannot see, soften his heart, and guide his steps.
