✝️ Inching Toward Normalcy

A Spoken-Word Prayer
(2 Samuel 22:31–37)

Father in Heaven,

I pray in Jesus Christ✝️ name as Your Holy Spirit dwells…
teach us to honor the pace You choose.

Not everything returns at once.
Not every answer arrives clearly.
Some things heal quietly,
inch by inch,
step by step.

So tonight, we thank You
for movement—even when it’s small,
for progress—even when it’s unseen,
Or not recognized at all
for steadiness—even when we don’t feel strong.

Your Word says Your way is perfect.
Your Word says You are a shield
to all who trust in You.
So help us trust You
Help us yield
not only in the breakthrough,
but in the gradual.

You widen our steps beneath us
so our feet do not slip—
even when we’re still finding our balance.

Lord, teach us patience with the process.
Help us not despise the slow work,
the quiet rebuilding,
the days that look ordinary
but are carrying Your protection.
From affections that are contrary to your will
Being done.
God✝️ this is a son on behalf of a daughter
Asking for sustained gratitude in contentment.

So, when progress is visible,
Your word will keep us humble.
When progress is hidden,
It keeps us faithful.

Let inching toward normalcy
be enough for today.
Let that be the reason we trust You—
not because everything is clear,
but because You are.

You make our way secure.
You train our hands for what’s ahead.
You go before us
even when we don’t know how far we’ve come.

So we rest here tonight—
not rushing the return,
not forcing the outcome,
but trusting the God✝️
who steadies every step.
As we accept daily
Your sovereignty.
