✝️ The Serenade

A Spoken-Word Prayer
(From the book of Psalms)

Father in Heaven,

I pray in Jesus Christ✝️ name as Your Holy🕊️Spirit dwells…
Give us slow sight before we speak.
Help us see again for the first time
Teach us to pause long enough
to understand what is truly before us.

This year has placed many things in our view—
some loud,
some fragile,
some unfinished.
So we ask You now:
help us consider what we see
without reacting in fear
or moving in haste.

The Psalms remind us
that You are a refuge and a light,
that You reveal truth
to those who wait on You.
We are here!
So give us eyes that don’t rush to judgment
and hearts that don’t mistake appearance for reality.

Lord, some things we see are tender.
Some people are carrying more than they show.
Some moments require comfort, not correction.
But thorough instructions so they can grow
So, help us recognize when gentleness
is the wisdom You are calling for.

Where the world trains us to respond quickly,
teach us to look carefully.
Where confusion tries to distort vision,
steady our sight with Your truth.
As 👍🏾Our🕊️ intention
Let us consider what is in front of us
through prayer, not assumption.

Be near to the brokenhearted we encounter.
Guide our words when silence is needed
and our actions when stillness is required.
Let us not overlook the fragile
or harden ourselves to what needs care
Or unmistakably clear!

As the year unfolds,
help us interpret what we see
through the lens of Your Word.
Guard us from reacting to noise
and anchor us in understanding.

Shepherd our vision, Lord.
Teach us to see clearly,
to respond wisely,
and to rest in You
when the picture is still forming.

And when we are unsure what to make of it all,
be our light and our guide—
helping us consider what we see
with patience, compassion, and faith.
As attributes of who we see.

In Jesus Christ✝️ name I pray and give thanks. Amen. 🕊️
