🌿 A Prayer‑Poem for the Nations

Entwined with King James Scripture & the Fellowship of the Saints

O Lord of Hosts, we lift this trembling world before Thee,
for “the earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof” (Psalm 24:1).
Nations rise, rulers rage, and rumors of war stir the air,
yet Thy throne is unshaken, and Thy counsel shall stand.

Let the saints who walked before us —
those who prayed in deserts, in caves, in kingdoms,
those who “quenched the violence of fire” (Hebrews 11:34) —
join their witness with ours as we take this burden to Thee.

Let peace speak louder than the threats of men.
Let mercy rise higher than missiles.
Let wisdom sit in the rooms where decisions are made.
Let the innocent be shielded beneath Thy wings,
for “He shall give His angels charge over thee” (Psalm 91:11).

O God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob,
stretch forth Thine hand over Iran, over Israel, over America,
over every land trembling under the weight of conflict.
Still the storm, Lord.
Break the bow.
Cut the spear.
For “He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth” (Psalm 46:9).

Strengthen the saints who intercede in hidden places.
Let their prayers rise like incense.
Let their tears water the ground where peace will grow.
Let courage, not fear, fill their spirits.
Let truth, not confusion, guide their petitions.

O Lord, judge righteous judgment.
Expose the works of darkness.
Restrain the hand of the violent.
Lift up the humble.
Guard the vulnerable.
And let Thy will — not the will of men — prevail.

For *“the Lord is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble”* (Psalm 46:1).
And though nations shake and kingdoms tremble,
Thy people shall not fear,
for Thou art in the midst of her,
and “God shall help her, and that right early” (Psalm 46:5).

So we seal this prayer with praise,
trusting the Ancient of Days,
who ruled before the first kingdom rose
and will reign long after the last one falls.

Amen.
