Lord, please provide guidance, wisdom and patience.

Six months ago I booked a New Years vacation to Aruba. However, I had surgery yesterday and was given a list of “do and donts”. Such as no flying for one week, no swimming for four weeks, limit sun, wear protective gear for two weeks, no exercise or bending at the waist for two weeks. Now I don’t feel comfortable flying and traveling to the beach

Well, needless to say I didn’t know or think about any of this when I scheduled the surgery. When it comes to medical appointments these days, you take what you get.I am well past the refund window for the lodging.

The lodging/booking company outright said no refunds or rescheduling. So I tried to go through traveler’s insurance. They require documentation from the Surgeon stating that I am unfit for travel. However, the surgery center says I can go and that I just have to limit my activities. Thus what the doctor’s office is providing does not meet the Insurance’s requirements.

Lord, help me navigate the process to get some sort of credit or option to reschedule.

At the end of the day, I’m responsible for agreeing to the surgery date. No matter how i look it, it’s best to rest and follow the instructions.
