Hi everyone, I want to share a little bit of my story. I’m a Colombian immigrant, and for the past 11 years I’ve done everything the right way, I studied here as an international student, graduated, and now I’m blessed to have a job I truly love.
After three years in a relationship with someone I want to spend the rest of my life with, we decided to get married, and that has filled me with so much joy. We knew the immigration process would be long, stressful, and expensive, but we prepared for it together and trusted that we could handle it as a team.
What I didn’t expect was to suddenly face a dental emergency right after paying $7,000 for immigration fees. Yesterday I went to the dentist because of severe pain, and I found out I need surgery to save a tooth. The cost is around $15,000 something I simply wasn’t prepared for.
I know God is in control, and He won’t let me fall, but my heart feels heavy. This situation is overwhelming, and financially it puts us in a very difficult place. I don’t have that kind of money right now, and the timing makes it even harder.
