🌙🙏🏾 “A Considerate Evening: Today’s Best Way to Say Good Night”

Phil 4:8–9 ✝️ | Prov 3:24 ✝️ | James 1:17 ✝️ (shadow of turning)

Father in Heaven,
I pray in Jesus Christ✝️ name,
that as this evening settles gently over 🕊️us👍🏾,
You meet us right here—
in reflection,
in honesty,
in quiet consideration.

Lord✝️, You read my heart tonight.
You know the weight and wonder of my consideration—
how I consider 🕊️,
how I consider the course✝️
You’re shaping for us,
and how I’m learning to lead
without variableness,
without shadow of turning,
steady in what You’ve taught me,
consistent with what You require
And regulating my 🔥fire✝️
We have respect for our authority✝️

And so I ask You, Father✝️
out of the care You placed in me
Based on my honest view of 🕊️she
help me understand what concerns 🕊️her,
what hopes rest inside 🕊️,
what dreams are called 🕊️ forward,
what priorities matter most to 🕊️her right now.
You know her thoughts before 🕊️she speaks.
Read her heart as she expresses what she seeks
Let Your 🕊️Holy Spirit translate gently
what I should pray,
what I should protect,
what I should correct
(In me I don’t see; keep me humble here)
what I should strengthen,
To further cast out her concerns or fear
and how I should lead.

And Lord…
as for me
You know my concern$,
my hopes,
my dreams,
my ⛪️responsibilities✝️,
my desire to preserve who 🕊️she is in Christ✝️
at the level You’ve allowed me to stand in,
As a top priority right now,
Not to change her—
but to preserve hope,
inspire growth
where You are already working
and keep her protected
from the negative influences
that try to drain the good You placed in her.

You know what I remember about her?:
the way she takes the lead,
her beginning Strengths📖Finder confidence,
the stadium energy—🏃🏾‍♂️💨🏃🏽‍♀️💨—
the ice breakers that were hilarious yet holy,
the competitive Word games,
the creative performing arts she loves,
Your✝️ work of art she is
the travels that expanded her vision.
Her active position in the church
These are good things, Lord✝️
and every good gift comes from above.

So guide me
Continually on
how to proceed,
how to support,
how to lead from this point,
how to stay accountable and consistent
in a way that honors 🕊️You✝️ both
and brings peace to both of us.
My reasonably and most considerate challenge
As the male seed who plants and waters
Towards the work of Your✝️ increase in 👍🏾us🕊️

And now, Lord—
as this day closes its eyes
and we prepare to do the same,
let Philippians 4:8–9 shape our thoughts tonight—
not stress,
not noise,
not unfinished pieces,
but the truth,
Your✝️ peace,
and the goodness
You called us to meditate on.

As the God of peace
settle over 🕊️us👍🏾
Bring comfort where needed
steady our breath,
quiet our spirit,
guide our rest
as surely as You guide our steps.

And as we move forward
Help us handle expectations
even while we sleep
And rise early
in truth,
in Your✝️ Love,
in unity,
And in You✝️.

And fulfill your Proverb
that when we lie down,
our sleep shall be
🕊️sweet🕊️
undisturbed,
unbothered,
unbroken.

So Lord✝️ as we say good night to You✝️
I say also
Good night, Jesus✝️
And
Good night, 🕊️Holy Spirit🕊️.
Rest,
Be continually kept,
considered,
remembered,
held in peace,
and prepared for a better tomorrow than today.

In Jesus Christ✝️ name,
We pray and give thanks
