“Handling Expectations of Truth”
(Philippians 3:14–16 ✝️ | Philippians 4:8–9 ✝️)
Father in Heaven,
I pray in Jesus Christ✝️ name
that as Your 🕊️Holy Spirit moves between 👍🏾us🕊️ today,
You steady our minds
for the work,
the walk,
and the expectations ahead.
Lord, teach 🕊️us👍🏾
To Lead:
With courage but without ego,
conviction without pride,
and Your✝️ love that cast out fear
Fear of creepy mindsets about Your✝️ Love
Fear of what the consequences of Your✝️ Love
Means for 👍🏾us🕊️
But instead that which is biblical
So that whenever things do become more legit
We won’t regret
We won’t resent
We’ll problem solve to resolve
God✝️ you know I’m not crazy
Just real
So, Lord✝️ Teach 🕊️us👍🏾
not only to withstand expectations,
but to handle them
with grace.
And now Lord —
Give us each day truth that protects us.
Because standard to living this life is truth
It holds us accountable
Whether us to leaders or leaders to us.
It solidifies your love and establishes trust
So God✝️ as our narrative tonight for intercessory prayer help us take fear out of the word “Love✝️”
because we know leadership without love
becomes control,
and leadership with love
becomes care.
So of course I don’t scare 🕊️
It’s my rhyme of reason for such a season as this
In church 🕊️ life
Home 🕊️ life
Work 🕊️ life
Balance is essential
Because as we think correctly each day
We come to understand potential
Now that’s a word for something else down the road.
But for now I pump my breaks
And slow my role so I make
Just enough time need for us to read further into my insight
On trusting what ✝️ truth is
Jesus Christ✝️ the same one
From yesterday, today, and prayerfully forever.
Clever write?!
That said, in his stead👍🏾
Help us discern the truth about people
as You did with Joseph,
David,
Jesus✝️,
and Paul—
all misunderstood,
all misjudged,
Yet all chosen.
Now let’s sleep on that and
Meditate on it in the morning
And afterwards Give thanks
For an unchanging God✝️
as this day closes our eyes
On “what was”
and as I prepare to do the same,
let Philippians 4:8–9
Sustain “what is”
shape our last thoughts tonight—
not the stress,
not the noise,
not the unfinished pieces—
but the truth,
So that “what is to come” in our new day
Produces Your✝️ peace,
and goodness within us
As the God✝️ of peace
settle over 🕊️us👍🏾
like the gentle Comforter You✝️ are
steadying our breath,
quieting our spirit,
and guiding our rest
As I give 🕊️ my best
as surely as You✝️ guide our steps.
So, Lord✝️ Give us unity in our thoughts,
Be discipline to our hearts,
and Love as the Creator✝️
You✝️ are
in the deepest parts of who we are!
As 👍🏾we🕊️handle expectations
even as we sleep—
in truth,
in love,
in unity,
in You✝️.
According to Your✝️ promise from Proverbs
that when we lay down,
our sleep shall be sweet.
So, good night Lord✝️.
Good night Jesus✝️.
Good night “Holy Spirit🕊️”.
May 👍🏾we🕊️ rise in the new day
rested, kept,
held in peace, in check 👍🏾 continually,
and prepared for a better tomorrow
Full of Thanksgiving.
In Jesus Christ✝️ name,
I pray for you and give (⛷️= 🏈 =⛷️) thanks
Amen.
