For his spiritual growth: "Lord, I pray for my husband to draw closer to you. Remove any worldly distractions or temptations that are pulling him away. Awaken in him a hunger for your Word and a desire to seek your will. Help him to remember his vows and to be a spiritual leader in our home".
For humility and forgiveness: "Father, reveal any pride or unconfessed sin in my husband's life. Grant him the humility to see his faults and the courage to repent. Open his heart to forgiveness and help him to remember the grace you have shown both of us".
A prayer for the wife
For peace and comfort: "God, I am hurting and feel lost. Please come closer to me and fill me with your Spirit. Comfort me during this storm and help me to see your goodness, even when things are difficult. Grant me a peace that surpasses all understanding".
For wisdom and strength: "Lord, give me the wisdom to know how to respond to my husband with grace and patience. Help me to not repay harshness with harshness, but to show kindness. Strengthen me to endure this trial and to not grow weary in doing what is right".
For forgiveness: "Lord, rid my heart of the anger and hurt I have toward my spouse. Give me a forgiving spirit, just as you have forgiven me. Help me to let go of bitterness so that I can be an instrument of your peace in our home".
A prayer for the marriage
For restoration and renewal: "Father, we know that what you have joined together, no one should separate. We trust in your power to heal our broken relationship. We ask that you would remake, reshape, and remold our marriage into something better than it was before. Restore our love, trust, and intimacy, and bind us together in unity".
For communication: "Lord, restore our communication. Soften our speech and our tempers so that we can truly hear each other. Help us to express our feelings honestly and gently, and to listen with a humble heart. Let your wisdom guide our conversations".
For a hedge of protection: "Heavenly Father, place a hedge of protection around our marriage. We bind and cast out every spirit of division, strife, and bitterness. Do not allow any outside interference, influences, or temptations to come between us. Protect our covenant, in Jesus' name".
