A Prayer of Quiet Stewardship
In the spirit of remembrance, presence, and grace

O Lord my God, Thou who seest the heart and not the outward form, I thank Thee for the gift of time, and for the quiet moments wherein love is made manifest. Teach me to number my days with wisdom, and to cherish the hours spent in the company of those Thou hast given unto me.

Let not my soul be troubled by the multitude of things, nor my peace be stolen by the pursuit of perfect pictures. For Thou hast shown me that memory dwelleth not only in the image, but in the touch of a hand, the sound of laughter, and the stillness of home.

Grant me grace to walk in my own path, and courage to abide in the portion Thou hast set before me. May I dwell with my children, my husband, my uncle, and all my household in love and truth, serving with gladness and resting in Thy peace.

And when others would lay burdens upon me, saying, “Thou shouldst have done it thus,” let me not be moved. For Thou, O Lord, art my guide and my portion, and Thy way is gentle and sure.

Let my stewardship be a light, my presence a balm, and my remembrance a song of thanksgiving. In all things, may I glorify Thee—not in the abundance of keepsakes, but in the abundance of love.
