A Prayer for Granddad’s Testimony, Aunt Robin’s Peace, and Angela’s Seeking Heart

O Lord, our refuge and strength,
Thou beholdest all things from everlasting to everlasting, and in Thy mercy, Thou rememberest the righteous.

I give thanks for the life of my Granddad—a man whose walk with Thee was evident, whose actions spoke louder than any sermon, whose reverence, kindness, and steadfast love bore fruit for all to see. “The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him” (Proverbs 20:7).

Though some may not understand, I know what I have seen. And I trust not only in his witness—but in Thee, O Righteous Judge, who seeth the heart. “For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish” (Psalm 1:6).

Lord, I carry a concern—why would my Aunt Robin believe that Granddad was not saved before Uncle Billy spoke to him? The life he lived, the faith he carried, the grace he showed… all bore witness to Thee. And yet, my heart struggles to understand her doubt. Still, I bring this confusion to Thee—not to accuse, but to ask. “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not” (Jeremiah 33:3).

For Aunt Robin, I pray not only peace, but clarity, and that her intentions be guided by love and not fear. “If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men” (Romans 12:18).

And Lord, for myself—Angela—I humbly ask for comfort. I am a little confused and a little concerned, but I still seek Thee. “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5). Let Thy Spirit quiet what I do not yet understand and lift my soul with calm assurance.

Saint Joseph, protector of peace and gentle presence in transition—watch over us now.
Saint Monica, steadfast mother and intercessor—pray for healing among family and insight in our hearts.
Saint Anna the Prophetess, who knew the Savior even in infancy—remind us that discernment is not always spoken but seen in faithfulness.

Into Thy keeping, O Lord, I place Granddad’s legacy, Robin’s heart, and my own. Grant us eyes to see, ears to hear, and hearts that rest in Thee alone. “Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means” (2 Thessalonians 3:16).

Through Christ our Lord, and the prayers of the saints, Amen.
