A Birthday Prayer for Daughter, O

O Heavenly Father,
Thou who formed my daughter in the secret place and numbered her days before they began, I give Thee thanks for the life of this precious child.
Bless, O Lord, my little one on her birthday. Let Thy countenance shine upon her and fill her heart with joy and peace.

"For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him." —1 Samuel 1:27

As Hannah rejoiced in Thy faithfulness, so do I, O Lord. May O grow in wisdom and in favor with God and man. Guard her steps and keep her heart pure before Thee all the days of her life.

Holy Mary, mother of our Lord, pray for her, that she may walk in grace and humility.
Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, who loved with the heart of a child and trusted in the little way, pray that my daughter may know the strength of simplicity and the power of gentleness.
Saint Joseph, guardian of the Holy Family, defend and protect her from all harm, that she may rest safely beneath the shadow of the Almighty.

Let angels encamp about her and Thy Holy Spirit lead her with a still, small voice. May she bloom in Thy perfect timing and flourish by Thy living Word.

With love beyond telling, I place her once again in Thy hands, O God. Thank You for the gift of her life.
