Prayer Request

Gracious Father,

We come boldly before Your throne, lifting up David and his beloved friend, John , into Your faithful hands. You know them both by name and by divine purpose. We ask that You surround them with faithful companions—men of wisdom, grace, and truth—who will encourage them in godliness and walk beside them through every season.

“He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed” (Proverbs 13:20, KJV). Let David and John walk with the wise—those who seek Your face, honor Your voice, and speak truth without compromise.

May they know the loyalty of Jonathan, who declared to David, “Fear not: for the hand of Saul my father shall not find thee; and thou shalt be king over Israel, and I shall be next unto thee” (1 Samuel 23:17, KJV). May David and John continue to walk together in mutual trust, saying, “I’m by your side,” even when the road is uncertain.

Like Daniel and his three companions, let them be men who pray together, who seek the mysteries of heaven with one heart. “That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret” (Daniel 2:18, KJV). Let prayerful unity and spiritual discernment anchor their friendship.

Grant David a Barnabas in John—an encourager. Let them be to each other as Paul and Silas—worshipers in the midnight hour—and as Paul to Timothy—entrusting each other with wisdom, counsel, and the Word of truth. Friends for the journey, friends for the trenches.

We ask the great cloud of witnesses to present this intercession to You, O Lord. Let their examples stir legacy-building friendship and faith in David and John.

A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity (Proverbs 17:17, KJV). Let these brothers in Christ rise like steadfast pillars—strong, unwavering, and Spirit-led.

We give thanks for who David and John are, and we wait in hope for the fullness of the brotherhood You are forming around them.

In the name of Jesus,
Amen.
