Prayer Request

Gracious Father,

We come boldly before Your throne, lifting up David into Your hands. You know him by name and by purpose, and we ask that You gather around him faithful friends—men of wisdom, grace, and truth—who will encourage him in godliness and walk beside him through every season.

“He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed” (Proverbs 13:20, KJV). Let David walk with the wise, those who seek Your face and speak Your Word without compromise.

Let him know the loyalty of Jonathan, who declared to David, “Fear not: for the hand of Saul my father shall not find thee; and thou shalt be king over Israel, and I shall be next unto thee” (1 Samuel 23:17, KJV). May David have one who says, “I’ll be by your side” even when the road is long.

May he stand firm like Daniel and his three companions, praying together and seeking the mysteries of heaven. “That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret” (Daniel 2:18, KJV). Let prayerful unity be the foundation of David’s friendships.

Like Paul, give him a Barnabas—an encourager, a Silas to worship in the midnight hour, and a Timothy to entrust the gospel. Friends for the journey, friends for the trenches.

We ask the saints above to present this intercession to You, O Lord. Let their faithful examples stir a blessing in David’s life.

“A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity” (Proverbs 17:17, KJV). Let such friends rise around him like pillars—steady, strong, and Spirit-filled.

We give thanks for the man David is, and we await in hope the fullness of the fellowship You will surround him with.

In the name of Jesus,
Amen.
