Heavenly Father,
We come before You with grateful hearts, lifting up Devin and Caitlyn—their lives, their futures, and the possibility of spouses, if that be Your will. We ask not merely for happiness, but for a foundation firmly set in You—a love built on covenant, grace, and truth.
“Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.” —Psalm 127:1
Let them walk in the patience and obedience of Joseph, who trusted Your voice even in silence and whose household was shaped by humble faith.
May they learn from Ruth and Boaz, whose union blossomed through loyalty, honor, and righteousness. As Boaz was a kinsman-redeemer, may their paths be marked by integrity and divine provision.
“Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord.” —Proverbs 18:22
Raise up for them hearts like Isaac and Rebekah—guided by prayer, willing to trust, and open to Your leading. Let their journeys be rooted in seeking You first.
Like Priscilla and Aquila, who labored together in ministry and opened their home to the early church, grant them companions in purpose as well as in love—ones with whom they can glorify You.
And may the spirit of Saint Monica hover over this prayer—her devotion, her steadfast hope, and her countless prayers echoing ours. Like her, may our faith persist even when answers feel delayed.
“Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” —Psalm 37:4
“In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” —Proverbs 3:6
Lord, build their lives upon the Rock. Shape their friendships, direct their affections, and prepare their hearts to know what covenant truly means—not as the world defines it, but as You do: enduring, holy, and selfless.
We trust You with their futures. And we thank You—for the love You already pour into their lives, and the greater purpose You are unfolding for them.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
