O Righteous Father, Defender of Nations,

Thou who hast established kingdoms and set the bounds of the people, we lift up the United States of America before Thee. Behold, O Lord, how the enemies of righteousness conspire, how they devise mischief and stir confusion within and without. But Thy Word declares:

> “The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.” —Psalm 33:10

Scatter the imaginations of those who seek to weaken this land. Let not the adversaries of truth and liberty prevail. For it is written:

> “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.” —Isaiah 54:17

We pray not only for protection, but for repentance and revival. Turn the hearts of the people back to Thee, O God. Let justice roll down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.

> “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face… then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” —2 Chronicles 7:14

And concerning our enemies, Lord, we remember the words of Thy Son:

> “Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you…” —Matthew 5:44

Therefore, we pray for their hearts to be softened, their eyes opened, and their souls redeemed. But if they persist in evil, let Thy justice be swift and sure, and let Thy name be glorified in all the earth.

Cover this nation with Thy wings, O Most High. Be our shield, our fortress, and our peace.
