Prayer for Mexico, the United States, and Their Leaders

Lord of all nations,
We come before You with hearts heavy for both Mexico and the United States.
Two lands divided by borders but bound by pain—
Families torn apart, children caught in cycles of fear,
Communities weighed down by addiction, trafficking, and despair.

You are the God who sees.
You said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people… I have heard them crying out… and I am concerned about their suffering” (Exodus 3:7).
So we cry out to You now.

We lift up President Claudia Sheinbaum of Mexico and the leaders of the United States.
Grant them courage to confront evil, wisdom to lead with justice,
And hearts that break for the broken.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God” (Matthew 5:9).
Raise up peacemakers on both sides of the border—
Law enforcement with integrity, pastors with compassion,
And neighbors who refuse to give up on one another.

Lord, we pray for the families who give and give until they are empty.
For those who steal out of desperation or darkness—
Let Your mercy meet them, and Your truth set them free.

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10).
We declare life over these nations.
We declare freedom from fear, healing from trauma, and restoration of what was lost.

Let revival rise from the ashes.
Let Your Spirit move through border towns, cities, and rural places alike.
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray… then I will hear from heaven… and heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).

Heal these lands, Lord.
Strengthen the weary.
And let Your justice roll like a mighty river.
