Dear Lord,
We lift up this young heart to You, touched by the sadness of losing his great grandfather. Though they didn’t share many activities in common, the bond of family still mattered—quietly present and gently felt. Bring him peace in knowing that even distant love leaves a lasting warmth.

“The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.” —Psalm 34:18

Help him remember the smiles, the stories, and the moments that stood out—however brief—whenever they were together. Let those memories shine like a steady light in his heart.

“Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.” —Matthew 5:4
