Gracious Father,
We lift up this beloved daughter to You as she walks through the sorrow of goodbye. Her emotions may mirror those of her father—quiet, perhaps steady on the outside—but we know You see every ache beneath the surface. Hold her gently in Your everlasting arms.
“He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.” —Psalm 147:3
Let her know it’s okay to feel however she feels. Whether her grief is loud or silent, You hear it all. Wrap her in Your peace, and let her carry the love of her great grandfather forward with courage and grace.
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God.” —Isaiah 41:10
And when the world rushes on, remind her that it’s okay to pause, to remember, to weep, and to hope.
“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven… a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.” —Ecclesiastes 3:1,4
Amen.
