My husband Rich who is 55 had a heart attack on Wednesday and is currently in the ICU with a brain bleed in the pons area of the brain. The hospital does not have a neurology dept or team to treat him and swears they have called every hospital to have him transported for care at a facility that specializes in this but no one will take him! I was told by one doctor there was nothing more they could do, and immediately had another doctor set them up for a CT scan and put them in the ICU and said they had him scheduled to be transferred as soon as the bed was available to another facility. I was told that the other facility changed their mind and he wasn’t going there after all. Later that evening, and another doctor showed me that that facility did not refuse him, but received a message and they changed their status and said they would continue to accept him for donation. The same doctor that told me they changed their mind, then told me that they had never agreed to except them into their ICU and he was not even a part of that coming out of the ER. A nurse told me last night that the organ donor organization has been calling every single day with an update if they have his organs ready! Here I am fighting to get my husband to a facility that specializes in & treats for his condition and I have never wavered or changed that. The hospital is not trying to save his life and is just fighting for his organs because he’s a 55-year-old man and the hospital will get a decent amount of money. I need prayers that a miracle will happen today and I can get my husband out of this facility that does not offer the Medical care And get him to a facility to at least get assessed by a team that lives and breathes every single day and can give me and my family a realistic outlook, so we can have peace of mind and make a decision. That is all we are asking. I am asking for a miracle and a lot of prayers foe this to happen. The doctor here has threatened to override our wishes and even go to the board to take them off life support. And overrule us. We have only been here since Wednesday, but time is ticking. Heavenly Father please allow my husband to get what care he deserves and transported to a facility to where your hands can provide The necessary means to assess his condition and give us the peace of mind that we need to make a decision going forward. He is a man of faith and he is right with you. We put all our faith in you oh Lord. Amen
