My son makes $38,000 in Boston. He has 200+ sq ft apt in a bldg from 1910 the rent went up to $1795/mth.. The whole apt floor is slanted so if he pencil or something drops on the floor it rolls to the other wall by the front door drops on or is stopped by and the refrigerator which sits by the front door since there is no room in the kitchen. The $1795 rent was too high as he needs utilities , public transportation , groceries and laundry paid he is currently trying to buy an a/c. for the hot summer days. The fan is not enough. As he is searching for new Apt’s he is finding prices are soaring even much higher than the $1795 and each apt requires a realtor cost, 1st and 2d month’s rent and sometimes a security deposit. He is a graduate student trying to make ends meet yet will lose his scholarship if he takes a job. Please pray that he is able to get on the affordable housing list for a newer apt (or God opens the doors for a good apt ) in safe neighborhood very soon and that he has a blessed experience in his graduate program and career. And, most importantly he feels the peace and love of our Father in the process.
